The current lab inventory management process provided no flexibility in adapting to different situations due to the following challenges:
- Rigid Workflow: Rigidity in defining rules and workflows thus limiting the flexibility provided to inventory teams.
- Lack of Integration: Siloed systems resulting in a lack of visibility into inventory levels and order for samples.
- Lack of insight into Inventory: Potential stock-outs leading to delays in experiment runs.
- At-risk Experiments: Lack of alerts on experiment runs that are at risk when inventory has run out.
