Princeton Blue at IBM InterConnect 2015

Princeton Blue is still recovering the whirlwind week that was IBM InterConnect! The conference offered over 1500 sessions, hands-on labs, general sessions, and countless networking opportunities. From booth #346, Princeton Blue experts met with many attendees interested in process improvement and looking for insights around BPM, Business Rules, and incorporating these disciplines into their company cultures.

Princeton Blue was pleased to have so many customers and friendly faces in attendance. One of our customers, Navy Federal Credit Union, co-presented with us on the topic of, “The Navy Federal Credit Union’s “Projects to Program” Journey”. This breakout session told the story of Navy Federal Credit Union’s (NFCU) ambition goal to tackle six BPM projects during the latter half of last year. Not only was this number of projects an enormous undertaking, but the six projects represented five different business units within the organization. NFCU has moved 4 into production at the time of InterConnect and expects to have the rest completed very soon. In the meantime, a long list is forming for future projects.

During the session, NFCU speakers Jon Yeatts and Uma Mohoni explained what led up to the decision to leverage BPM so prominently throughout the organization. They also shared their goals for BPM, mission, and vision for the discipline. Their journey to date, however, has not been without challenges. These challenges fell within three main groupings: people, process, and technology. Jon and Uma shared these challenges with the audience and how they are overcoming them. Their goals for the future are well defined and include more focus on business architecture, establishing a BPM Center of Excellence, continued formalized governance, and several other key goals. NFCU is off to a successful start and is experiencing BPM acceptance throughout NFCU with much credit going to their ability to lay the proper groundwork and expectations, repeated socialization, and solid executive sponsorship. Their partnership with Princeton Blue during the past year has proved to be invaluable in this journey.

Not only was this Projects to Program story a great one to share at InterConnect but attendees also spoke to Princeton Blue experts about other Princeton Blue solutions such as: Unified Customer View, Private Wealth Management, Worklist Management, and Platform upgrade services.

Princeton Blue was also a proud supporter of Stop Hunger Now. Our team helped package nutritious meals that have been shipped to famine stricken areas around the world.

While InterConnect has come to an end, we still feel the energy of the event and look forward to growing relationships with the new contacts we made and strengthening relationships with our existing ones.
